This solved every problem but the lumpy pillows! There was often a line at check-in but the staff seemed to be trying and I just kept reminding myself that they've only just opened. By the 3rd night, we learned to use the fluffy (but too hot) duvet as a mattress pad and to sleep with just a sheet to avoid the middle of the night overheating.
I'd say the accommodations are similar to a Holiday Inn. The lack of a functioning hot tub on a ski trip was a definite bummer. We also heard the knocking of the heat or water that others describe. On the first night we didn't have hot water but the staff responded the next day and repaired the problem.
Those that spend the night will find the rooms are not what Hard Rock fans will expect (cheap linens, horrible pillows, inability to control room temperature) but the location is great (two blocks to the Heavenly Gondola). Wonderfully decorated restaurants with mediocre food. Casino is small but nicely done although the air quality in certain areas was horrible. I think the reviews vary widely on those who actually stay here versus those who just visit the casino. While the staff seems to be trying, they're fighting an uphill battle in a property that's only been partially renovated but highly advertised. Had I read the reviews and had the ability to change, I probably would have. Unfortunately I booked this property with a ski package before they officially opened.
